Jamestown Fresh 48 Session

As a mother of 4 kids myself, I know how important those first few days with your new baby are- they change so quickly, and for that reason I am so happy that the Fresh 48 session became a popular thing to do- it captures the easy to forget details and expressions.

On Feb 11th, Rachel and Ryan welcomed their 2nd sweet girl into their family of three, a beautiful little girl that they named Hazel Blake.

I use my documentary approach during these sessions to allow parents to sit back, relax and enjoy the new baby and for me to gather unposed details of those first few moments of grandparents meeting new baby, or in this case, big sister meeting her new little sister for the first time. These are such important moments that if left undocumented, would be forgotten in the whirlwind of taking care of a new baby.

Hazel was such a sweet baby- but the best part of this whole session was seeing her big sister, Olive, beg to hold her and referring to her as “My baby.” Who wouldn’t want a big sister like that?
