Lake Como is an absolute hidden gem located in the Bitterroot Valley. I have wanted to shoot there since moving back to Montana last fall. It has stunning rocky beaches, incredible vistas of the bitterroot mountains, and views of the incredible greenery of the lodgepole pine and western larch trees. So I organized a styled shoot for a Lake Como, MT elopement!
I met Kelsey and Sam right on the shores of Lake Como in the evening as the sun was starting to set, giving us that gorgeous golden light. I met Kelsey through an Instagram contest and quickly saw how creative she was at her own business Cloth and Basket (I highly recommend her work) and I saw her amazing eye for style. I knew that she would be wonderful to work with on a styled elopement shoot, and I was right.
Kelsey and Sam were great to work with, because they had such a genuine connection with each other as a couple, a great sense of humor, and are very clearly in love. Working with this couple made me have such an appreciation for photoshoots that allow for the couple to be fully in the moment, focused on each other and the beautiful landscape, not a large group of guests to attend too.
Kelsey brought her eye for style to this shoot and was wonderful to consult and work with on all the local vendors that helped contribute to this shoot. We have some amazing local businesses in Missoula, and I am so thankful for the ones that contributed to this shoot. Here they are:
Charcuterie Board- Cambie Coffee and Taphouse
Nails and Hair- Kindred Salon
Makeup Artist- Abbie Klein
Dress- Revive your Soul
Dress and Hat- Bohme
My favorite images of this Lake Como MT elopement are the ones where Sam and Kelsey are dancing on the shores of Lake Como. Take a look here and get inspired for your own elopement or anniversary celebration!
